The first reviews condemn ‘Rebel Moon Part 2’: “It has forgotten to tell an interesting story”

It doesn’t seem like Zack Snyder will be able to get the ship of his new franchise off the ground. The second part of ‘Rebel Moon’ arrives on Netflix this April 19 after receiving strong criticism from the international media. After a controversial first installment that was already pointing to a Director’s Cut , ‘The Warrior Who Leaves Marks’ crashes on note compilation platforms , such as Rotten Tomatoes . At the time of writing these lines it achieves an average score of 9%.

Criticism, against Snyder and ‘Rebel Moon: Part 2’

“There is no doubt that Snyder has created an interesting world. He has simply forgotten to tell an interesting story within it,” concludes Ian Sandwell in Digital Spy. “Even if a superior version of ‘Rebel Moon’ ever comes, he won’t make these versions better, and they’re the only ones we have right now ,” explains William Bibbiani at TheWrap.

Travis Johnson, a journalist at Flicks, points out that Snyder has a “problem with slow motion, and it is a failure rather than an element . ” He uses it so much that he crosses the line “into self-parody.” Judging by what has been said, there is no doubt that in general it seems that there is little redeemable in the film.

‘Rebel Moon: Part 1’ followed the same line of criticism. On the same website it achieved an average of 21% after 173 analyses. The percentage of the audience also did not invite us to be very optimistic, with 57% after more than 5,000 ratings. In MeriStation he also failed to convince any of the parties: “If the director puts a blinder on the blood and the action, it is because not even the fighting convinces. The laser shots, the explosions, the brilliance of colors of planets and systems . Effects and choreographies do not end up seducing a spectator who will not be creepy either, because he is not a grotesque, but he will be enraged by the simplicity of everything that happens before his eyes.
